SYRIA, Coele-Syria. Damaskos. Æ (21mm, 6.25 g, 11h). Struck under Kleopatra VII of Egypt. Dated SE 276 (37/6 BC). Turreted head of Tyche right / Nike advancing right, holding wreath and palm branch; all within wreath. RPC I 4782; DCA 495; HGC 9, 1463. Fine, earthen green patina. Rare.
Although no ancient text tells us that Damaskos was part of the territory that Mark Antony gave to Kleopatra, her portrait on other issues of the same date indicate that it was.
