THRACO-MACEDONIAN TRIBES, Derrones. Circa 500-480 BC. AR Dodekadrachm (29mm, 33.58 g). Two bulls, yoked and wearing fillets around neck, standing left; ΔERONIK above / Quadripartite incuse square. Topalov 1; cf. HPM pl. I, 7; cf. AMNG III/2, 1; Asyut 33; cf. SNG ANS 928; Rosen 119 (this coin). VF, toned, flan flaws on reverse. Very rare.
