MYSIA, Kyzikos. Late 3rd-early 2nd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (34mm, 17.11 g, 12h). In the name and types of Lysimachos of Thrace. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; monogram to inner left and outer right; in exergue, long torch right. SNG France 2550 (same dies); Müller 383. Near EF, toned. Very rare.

The dating of this issue is based on the appearance of contemporary issues with different monograms in the 1952 Dniyé hoard (Seyrig, Trésors 5.12) and 1955 Diyarbakir hoard (ibid., 4.16), both of which were deposited in the early 2nd century BC.
