TROAS, Antandros. Late 5th century BC. AR Diobol (9mm, 0.98 g, 12h). Head of female (Artemis Astyrene?) right / Head of lion right within incuse square. Cf. SNG von Aulock 7582 (later type without incuse); SNG München –; SNG Ashmolean –; cf. SNG Tübingen 2555 (same); cf. Klein 298 (same); Traité II –. Good VF, dark find patina. Unpublished with reverse in incuse square, apparently unique.
