Gordian II. AD 238. AR Denarius (20mm, 3.28 g, 5h). Rome mint. Struck March-April AD 238. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Providentia, standing facing, head left, legs crossed, leaning on column, holding wand in right hand and pointing to globe set on ground, and cradling cornucopia in left arm. RIC IV 1; BMCRE 19-20; RSC 5. Good VF, toned.
