Leo I. AD 457-474. AV Solidus (21mm, 4.43 g, 6h). Constantinople mint; 2nd officina. Probably struck AD 462 or 466. D N LEO PE RPET AVC, pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear and shield / VICTORI A AVCCC, Victory standing left, holding long jeweled cross; no star to right; B//CONOB. RIC X 605 var. (star to right); MIRB 3 var. (same); Depeyrot 93/1 (same). Good VF, light scratches of graffito in right field of obverse. Apparently unique variety without the star.
