Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right / "Dido building Carthage" - Dido standing left holding sceptre and cubit rule; to the left a mason working on the top of a gateway, below a man digging with a pick. J. Rouvier, "Numismatique des villes de la Phénicie: Tyr," JIAN (1904), pg. 99, 2501; Babelon, Les Perses, 2316. Good VF, dark brown patina under a dusty earthen encrustation. Rare and interesting.
