FRANCE, Royal. Charles VII le Victorieux (the Victorious). 1422-1461. AV Royal d’or (29mm, 3.83 g, 7h). Limoges mint. 1st émission, 9 October 1429. Charles, crowned and in royal robes, standing facing, holding two lis-tiped scepters; behind, field of twenty lis; double saltire stops; pellet under tenth letter / Cross fleurée, with central pellet-in-quadrilobe, within quadrilobe with angles ending in lis; crown external voids; star stops; pellet under tenth letter. Duplessy 455; Ciani 624; Friedberg 303. Good VF, struck on a slightly irregular flan.
