INDIA, Kushan Empire. Huvishka. Circa AD 152-192. Æ Tetradrachm (25mm, 11.72 g, 12h). Huvishka, holding goad, riding elephant right / Herakles standing right, holding club and lion’s skin. MK 889/1 (same dies?). Fine, brown surfaces.
This coin appears to be from the same dies as Göbl’s specimen 889/1, which is in very poor condition. Göbl read the reverse legend as HPKΙΛO (sic), but the legend seems to be far more degraded. On the current specimen, the reverse legend begins with a triskeles-like symbol, followed by PΔI[...].
