THESSALY, Pharsalos. Early 4th century BC. Æ Dichalkon (15mm, 2.65 g, 5h). Head of Athena left, wearing crested Attic helmet with Skylla on bowl and raised cheekpiece / ΦA–P–ΣAΛI, armored warrior, brandishing flail over head, on horse prancing right. Lavva 167 corr. (V80/R100 – last two letters of ethnic off flan); BCD Thessaly II – (but cf. 653 for variant). VF, glossy black patina.
