THESSALY, Proerna. Late 4th-early 3rd centuries BC. Æ Tetrachalkon (22mm, 7.54 g, 12h). Head of nymph facing slightly right, wearing neckace / ΠPOEP–NIΩN, Demeter standing facing, holding grain ears in right hand, long torch in left; monogram to left. Rogers –; BCD Thessaly I 1327 (same obv. die). VF, green-brown patina, pierced. Very rare early issue with a highly artistic obverse.
