THESSALY, Skotoussa. Early-mid 4th century BC. Æ Dichalkon (17mm, 4.78 g, 3h). Head of youthful Herakles left, wearing lion skin / Σ–KO–ΠΦ/A, forepart of horse right, either grazing or scratching its head on its foreleg. Rogers 541, fig. 299 var. (slightly smaller devices, different arrangement of ethnic); BCD Thessaly II 743.2 (same obv. die). Fine, dark green and reddish-brown patina.
