Struck under Peithon, circa 315-311 BC. Head of Athena right, wearing single-pendant earring, necklace, and triple-crested Corinthian helmet adorned with a serpent / BAΣI-ΛEΩΣ AΛEΞANΔPOY, Nike standing left, holding wreath in extended right hand, cradling stylis in left arm; monogram below left and right wings. In 315 BC, Antigonos I Monophthalmos forced Seleukos I to flee from his satrapy in Babylon, and replaced him with Peithon, a Macedonian who had served under Alexander III as satrap of southern India.
