Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Denarius (17mm, 3.14 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck circa AD 119-125. IMP CAESAR TRAIAN H ADRIANVS AVG, laureate and draped bust right / P M T R P COS III, galley left, no oarsmen: at the bow a mast raking forward with sails attached but not unfurled, at the stern is a stern-post and an arched cabin under a curved aplustre, in between is cross-hatching. RIC II 113 var. (bust type); RSC 1174b. VF, toned, traces of deposits.
