Antoninus Pius. AD 138-161. Æ Medallion (35mm, 24.62 g, 1h). Rome mint. Struck AD 139. Laureate head left / Bacchus and Ariadne standing in biga drawn right by a panther and a satyr. Gnecchi 37, pl. 46, 9 (same dies); Banti 302. Fair, dark brown patina, severely corroded. Very rare. Medallion dies struck on a sestertius flan.
