CIMMERIAN BOSPOROS, Nymphaion. Circa 400 BC. AR Diobol (9mm, 1.45 g, 12h). Head of nymph left, hair in sakkos / Grape bunch on vine; NYN above; all within incuse square. Frolova, frühe, Type I, 2–5 var. (unlisted dies); Anokhin 949; MacDonald 86; HGC 7, 13; SNG BM Black Sea –; SNG Pushkin –; SNG Stancomb 508. Good VF, toned. Very rare, only 8 examples cited by Frolova, 6 of which are in public collections.
