ITALY. Helen of Troy. Æ Medal (29mm, 14.01 g, 12h). Attributed to Alessandro Cesati “Il Grechetto”, fl. 1538-1562. EΛENH BAΣIΛIΣΣA, draped bust of Helen of Troy right, wearing ivy wreath / OMONOIA EΛΛHNΩN in two lines up left field, Female figure (Helen [?]) seated left on ground line, holding double cornucopia. Pollard –; cf. Baldwin’s 64, lot 88 (for obv.; rev. attributed to Valerio Belli). Good VF, brown patina.
