This is only the 4th auction appearance of a bust left Julia Domna denarius, the first being Giessener Münzhandlung Auction 33, lot 442 and the second appearing in CNG 42, lot 996. One, possibly two, other pieces are traceable to a private collection, all with the same reverse type.
