EPEIROS, Federal coinage (Epirote Republic). Circa 234/3-168 BC. Æ (19mm, 7.26 g, 12h). Head of Zeus left, wearing tainia; AI monogram behind, BO below / Thunderbolt within oak wreath. Franke 639.1 (V398/R496 – this coin cited and illustrated). VF, dark greenish-brown patina. Rare, one of only five specimens known to Franke.
