Group of 27 circular counters (each 27mm) depicting the Monarchs of England on obverse and royal coat-of-arms on reverse. Set includes the following runs of rulers: Edward the Confessor to William II Rufus (4) // Stephen to Henry III (5) // Edward II and III (2) // Henry IV to Edward V (5) // Mary I to Charles I (7), as well as relatives of James I: Mary, Queen of Scots (mother), Henry Stuart (first-born son), Frederick V, Elector Palatine (son-in-law), and Karl I Ludwig (nephew). Lot also includes a silver-plated openwork carrying box with lid showing a bust of Charles I left, base depicting a bust of Henrietta Marie left. MI 379/281. Counters average Fine.
