Laureate head right / Antoninus Pius seated left on sella castrensis on raised daïs, extending hand to male figure standing right who extends his hand to receive it; Liberalitas, holding abacus and cornucopia, standing left on daïs before Pius. RIC III 775; Banti 214. VF, rough dark green patina with earthen highlights, smoothing.


Pius’s fifth liberality was given in honor of his recent vota decennalia, which was also the occasion for celebratory games, the Primi Decennales.
