CILICIA, Antiochia ad Cragum(?). Valerian I(?). AD 253-260. Æ (29mm, 32.91 g, 11h). Laureate and draped (or draped and cuirassed?) bust right / Eagle standing facing on thunderbolt, head right, holding wreath in beak; S C in exergue. SNG France –; SNG Levante –; SNG Levante Supp. –; cf. L&K 1457. Fine, brown patina.

From the Kelly J. Krizan, M.D. Collection.

There is not enough of either legend to determine with any certainty the emperor or mint. However, the style of the engraving and the eagle are similar to a coin of Valerian I from Antiochia in the Lindgren Collection (L&K 1457).
