CILICIA, Hierapolis-Castabala. Diadumenian. As Caesar, AD 217-218. Æ (23mm, 11.48 g, 12h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Prize-crown between two lighted torches. SNG France 2242 (same dies); SNG Levante –. VF, green patina, a few cleaning marks.

From the Kelly J. Krizan, M.D. Collection. Ex Classical Numismatic Group 54 (14 June 2000), lot 1126.

A close comparison of the dies show that they are the same that were used to strike the Paris specimen. However, the spelling of Antoninus on that coin is ANTONINOC whereas here it is ANTΩNINOC. The Paris specimen appears to have been very carefully tooled.
