EASTERN EUROPE, Imitations of Philip II of Macedon. Circa 3rd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (24mm, 13.90 g, 4h). Laureate head of Zeus left / Rider, holding palm, on horseback left. Cf. CCCBM I S16; cf. Lanz 357-63. VF, toned, light deposits.
From the Demetrios Armounta Collection.
The style of the engraving of this coin closely resembles the Lanz group with incomplete legends, but none of those coins are recorded with the head of Zeus to left.
