KINGS of THRACE, Macedonian. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (31mm, 16.97 g, 3h). Byzantion mint(?). Struck circa 260-245 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; AP monogram in exergue. Cf. Marinescu Issue 31 (monogram in left field); Thompson –; Müller –. VF, light marks.
The AP monogram does appear in the exergue for Pella and Perinthos, but always in conjunction with another symbol or monogram in the fields.
