THRACE, Byzantion. Circa 100-90 BC. AV Stater (20mm, 8.19 g, 1h). In the name and types of Lysimachos. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; X to inner left, BY below throne, ornate trident in exergue. Unpublished, but cf. Callataÿ Group 2B, pl. 38, L, for a contemporary stater with an obverse likely by the same engraver. VF, struck with worn dies. Apparently unique.
