Edward IV . Second Reign, 1471-1483. AV Angel (5.06 gm). 1475-83. St. Michael slaying dragon / Arms on ship with cross as mast; E and rose to either side, mintmark: heraldic cinquefoil. Schneider 468; North 1626.XXI; Seaby 2091. Nice VF, light die rust and obverse field gouge. ($750)

Edward introduced the angel (equivalent to 6 shillings, 8 pence) in 1465 to replace the old noble previously valued at the same amount.
