[AVT • K • Λ • CЄΠ •] CЄOVHPON • KA–I IOV • ΔOMNAN CЄB •, busts of Septimius Severus, radiate, draped, and cuirassed, and Julia Domna, draped, conjoined right / River–god reclining to left, holding reed in right hand, fish swimming upward near left arm; to left, Tyche seated facing, head right, holding uncertain object in right hand, cornucopia in left; ЄT • PB (date) in exergue. Spijkerman 11, pl. 10, 11/1 corr. = Rosenberger 4 (same obv. die); Sofaer –; SNG ANS –; Meshorer, City Coins 229 (same obv. die as illustration?). VF, rough green patina, earthen encrustation. Very rare and possibly the finest known.

This specimen allows us to complete the right hand portion of the obverse legend. As for the date, Spijkerman tentatively read it as year 104, while Rosenberger and Meshorer favored 102. Our coin confirms the latter reading.
