ITALY, Napoli (Regno). Filippo II di Spagna. 1554-1598. AR Mezzo Ducato (34mm, 14.87 g, 10h). Second Period. Napoli (Naples) mint); Germano Ravaschieri, mintmaster, Vincenzo Porzio, trial master. Dated 1574. Radiate and cuirassed bust right; GR to left; below bust, (VP) • (square of four pellets) • / Crowned coat-of-arms; shield within ornate frame. Cf. CNI XX 196 (for type); Pannuti-Riccio 18; MIR 174/5. VF, toned, a few light scratches under tone, areas of weak strike.
