ITALY, Napoli (Regno). Filippo II di Spagna. 1554-1598. AR Mezzo Ducato (34mm, 12.81 g, 5h). Second Period. Napoli (Naples) mint); Germano Ravaschieri, mintmaster, Vincenzo Porzio, trial master. Uncertain date, but struck 1575-1577. Radiate and cuirassed bust right; (GR) to left, [(VP) and date below bust] / Crowned coat-of-arms; shield within ornate frame. Cf. CNI XX 1033; cf. Pannuti-Riccio 19a; cf. MIR 174/7 (all refs. for type, dated 1575). VF, toned, flan crack.
