SYRIA, Coele-Syria. Heliopolis. Philip I. AD 244-249. Æ (27mm, 17.06 g, 7h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Bird’s eye view of the front and side of the temple of Jupiter Heliopolitanus; [small altar] to left, cypress tree to right. Sawaya 441-5 (D91/R178). Fine, earthen green patina.
An interesting obverse die with Greek legends instead of the usual Latin used in Heliopolis.
