Laureate head right / Commodus, as Hercules, standing left, draped from the waist down, sacrificing over altar and holding cornucopia; to left, tree with lion’s skin hanging from it. RIC III 581; MIR 18, 814-6/30; Banti 89. VF, green and brown patina, roughness, scraped on cheek and neck, surfaces crack running along reverse edge. Rare, Banti cites only 3 examples.
