Sold for $140. This amount does not include the buyer’s fee.

COLONIAL AFRICA, Belgian. État indépendant du Congo (Congo Free State) and Congo Belge (Belgian Congo). Lot of five (5) CU and CU-NI Denominations. Lot includes the following denominations:

(128.1) CU 1 Centime (18mm, 2.02 g, 6h). Bruxelles (Brussels) mint. Dated 1888. KM 1. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 65 BN. Lightly toned with a great deal of red coming through. Superb choice gem.

(128.2) CU 2 Centimes (23mm, 4.02 g, 6h). Bruxelles (Brussels) mint. Dated 1888. KM 2. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 65 RB. Extremely choice UNC. Although the coin is graded red brown, it appears to be more of the prior. I would have graded it red.

(128.3) CU 5 Centimes (30mm, 10.15 g, 6h). Bruxelles (Brussels) mint. Dated 1887. KM 3. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 64 RB. Choice uncirculated. Lovely toning over red surfaces. None graded higher.

(128.4) CU-NI 5 Centimes (18.5mm, 2.55 g, 12h). Bruxelles (Brussels) mint. Dated 1911. KM 17. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 63. Choice uncirculated. Scarce type.

(128.5) CU-NI 10 Centimes (21mm, 4.07 g, 12h). Bruxelles (Brussels) mint. Dated 1927. KM 18. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 65. Choice lustrous BU gem.
