Lot of 9 interesting artifacts. Lot is as follows: Urartian Æ Plaque. Circa 1000 BC. Crudely anthropomorphic face, with conical headdress (?). Nice VF, green patina // Obverse and reverse relief impressions on an oversize hunk of lead, apparently from dies intended for a fifth century Kamarina Tetradrachm. Slightly weak, deeply toned, quite attractive // Celtic "Ring Money". Three pieces. 17-25mm outside diameter. Fine-VF, green patinas // A packet containing two greenish stones, holed; one a seal carved with a floral motif, the other a carved fetish of undeciphered design or purpose; and a third piece, not holed, a terra-cotta tessera, showing in relief a handsome laureate, bearded head left. All nice VF // Chinese Æ 42x22mm, described as Chou Dynasty, Warring States period. 476-255 BC. "Cicada Money". Ramsden pp. 33-34. Scruffy green-brown patina, but of uncertain provenance and age.
