Nero. AD 54-68. Gilt Æ Semis (19mm, 3.35 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck circa AD 64. Laureate head right / Table bearing urn and wreath; on front of left panel, two gryphons standing vis-à-vis; round shield rests against leg. RIC I 228; WCN 326. VF, rough surfaces, plating broken in quite a few places.

This gilt semis was probably intended either for jewelry or as a votive offering.
