IBERIA, Punic Iberia. Circa 237-209 BC. Æ Unit (23mm, 9.48 g, 12h). Uncertain mint (Carthago Nova?). Bare male head left / Horse standing right; palm tree in background. MHC 282; ACIP 609; SNG BM Spain 127-8. VF, earthen green patina.
Thought by some to date post 209, being struck during the Roman occupation of Carthago Nova, and to represent the Roman general Scipio Africanus.
