KINGS of BOSPOROS. Sauromates II. Circa AD 174/5-210/1. Æ Double Denarius (27mm, 10.83 g, 5h). Struck AD 193-210/1. Diademed and draped bust right / Sauromates on horseback right, holding spear in left hand, raising right in salutation; B and X (mark of value) in upper and lower fields; before horse, laureate head of Septimius Severus right. MacDonald 546. Near VF, greenish-brown patina, roughness. Scarce.
