Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated left on throne, resting her left elbow on her shield and holding Nike in her outstretched right hand; in outer left field, Ν; in inner left, cult image; in the exergue, crescent to left. Arnold-Biucchi 63 -65. Thompson 225. Rare. A lovely example of fine style struck on a broad flan. Toned and most attractive. About extremely fine.

This obverse is one of the finest of all those produced by Lysimachos; it has an elegance and strength that is quite exceptional.
