ATTICA, Athens. c. 430s-420s BC. Drachm (Silver, 14mm, 4.25 g 9). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with olive leaves and palmette turned upwards. Rev. ΑΘΕ Owl standing right with head facing; to left, olive spray; all within incuse square. Agora 10e ff. SNG Copenhagen 41. Svoronos pl. 11, 20. An attractive piece struck on a broad flan, but with some minor marks. Nearly extremely fine.
