PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy VI Philometor, first reign, 180-164 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26mm, 14.27 g 12), uncertain Cypriote mint, year 92 = 171/170. Diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis. Rev. ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ Eagle standing left on thunderbolt; in field to left, monogram of Ρ (reversed) and Β. Svoronos 1208. A very rare type. Beautifully toned and very well struck on a broad flan, a superb piece. Good extremely fine.
