RIC IV 55 var. (obv. and rev. legends, no shield on rev.); RSC 51 var. (same). VF, light porosity, double struck.

In his essay on the denarii of Pescennius Niger ("The Denarii of Pescennius Niger," NumChron 1992, pp. iv-xxii), T. Buttrey records both the obverse and reverse legends, but not the combination of the two.
