PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy II Philadelphos. 285-246 BC. AR Tetradrachm (24mm, 14.08 g, 12h). Tyre mint. Diademed bust of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis around neck / Eagle standing left on thunderbolt; to left, H above club. Svoronos 637; SNG Copenhagen 478; DCA 4. Good VF, lightly toned, minor porosity.

Cohen, in Dated Coins of Antiquity, notes on page 29 that he lists this type as undated but includes it in his work in case additional evidence proves that the H on the reverse is indeed a date, and not just a control mark as Lorber and Davesne have argued.
