GAUL, Northeast. Uncertain tribe. Late 2nd-early 1st century BC. AV Quarter Stater (13mm, 1.92 g, 12h). Celticized head of Apollo left / Horse driven left; driver behind who holds a lyre above the horse; wheel below horse’s belly. Sills –; Hunt II, lot 166 = Bank Leu 25, lot 12 (this coin); Bank Leu 42, lot 24. Near VF, old scratches across the obverse, flatly struck in a few areas. Rare and missing from the standard references.
