ISLANDS off CARIA, Kos. Circa 285-258 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26.5mm, 14.93 g, 12h). Timoxenos, magistrate. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Crab; KΩION above, TIMOΞENOΣ and club below; all within dotted square. Requier Group II, Series 2, 25a (D7/R22 – this coin); HGC 6, 1308, otherwise unpublished with this magistrate. Good VF, toned. The only known example with this magistrate.
