PHOENICIA, Arados. Circa 138/7-44/3 BC. AR Tetradrachm (27mm, 14.87 g, 1h). Dated CY 206 (54/3 BC). Veiled, draped, and turreted bust of Tyche right / Nike advancing left, holding aphlaston in extended right hand, cradling palm frond in left arm; in left field, ςC (date) above A (in Aramaic) above EΣ; APAΔIΩN to right; all within laurel wreath. Unpublished year for series. Near EF, attractive collection toning with blue and red hues, areas of slight roughness. Well centered and struck. Apparently unique for date.
