NERO • CLAVDIVS • CAESAR • AVG • GERM P M TR P IMP • P P, laureate bust right, wearing aegis / DECVRSIO in exergue, S C across upper field, Nero, bareheaded, wearing cuirass and short tunic, on horse prancing right, carrying spear in rest in right hand; to left, a soldier also on horseback, carrying vexillum in right hand sloped over shoulder. RIC I 104; WCN 75; BMCRE 143-4; BN 283-4. Good VF, dark gray and green patina, areas of minor roughness, some deposits. High-relief portrait.
