Hadrian. AD 117-138. Æ Sestertius (36mm, 27.82 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck circa AD 122-125. IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG, laureate and cuirassed bust right, slight drapery on left shoulder / P M TR P COS III, S C across field, Spes advancing left, holding flower and lifting garment. Cf. RIC II 612; Strack 576η; Banti 595 (this coin illustrated); AdG p. 45 = Kent & Hirmer 288 (this coin); BMCRE 1256. Superb EF, dark emerald green patina. An exquisite coin.
