Elagabalus. AD 218-222. Æ Sestertius (29.5mm, 21.94 g, 12h). Rome mint. Struck AD 219. IMP CAES M AVR ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / PONTIF MAX TR P, S C in exergue, Roma, helmeted and draped, seated left, holding Victory on extended right hand and vertical spear in left; round shield set on ground to right in front of seat. RIC IV 284; Thirion 4; Banti 44; BMCRE 343-4. VF, even brassy-tan river patina, granular surfaces, a few pits, small flaw on obverse near edge.
