NORTHERN EUROPE, Uncertain. AR “Halve daalder” (33mm, 11.96 g, 9h). Imitating a mint Leeuwendaalder of the Republiek der Zeven Verenigde Nederlanden (Dutch Republic). Dated 1640. MO AR · G PRO N FOE · B · ELG NEL, armored half-length figure of soldier standing left, head right; coat-of-arms below / CONEI DENS DNONOO NMTE 1640, lion rampant left; 4 in legend angled to appear as a Gothic-style 4. Cf. P&W Ze 31 (for obv.; Zeeland), or Purmer Ge57 (same; Gelderland); otherwise unpublished. Fine, toned. Very rare.
