THRACE, Anchialus. Septimius Severus. AD 193-211. Æ (28mm, 10.45 g, 7h). AVT K CΠΤI (
sic) CEV(HP)OC ΠE, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / OVΛΠIAN-ΩN AΓXIA/ΛEΩΝ, city gate with two towers and surmounted by two quadrigas. Cf. AMNG 487* (obv. legend and bust type); Varbanov 192 (same). VF, green-brown patina, a few light marks in the obverse field. Unusual misspelling and interesting city gate type. Very rare.
